This guide is for anyone who is just getting started with earning trophies or for anyone who wants to see which non-game-skill-only trophies they could be working towards. Some of the trophies listed on this page are easy to get, some take a long time but little skill, some are luck based and others need real life skills instead of just gaming skills. Yes believe it or not there are some trophies which are easy to get and this page will help you find them and hopefully get them!Buying a trophy with real money.

Both of these trophies appear in the Site Feature Trophies section on your lookup.
The NCMall album becomes available to you after changing a setting on your NCMall album management page. While in the Mall click the link on the lower left saying "NC Mall Album" then click "Album Management" and ensure the "Gallery visible to the public?" box is ticked and click "Save preferences". It should now show up on your lookup. To fill it however you need to buy items from the NCMall with NC. There is currently a way to obtain NC for free as if you visit the Mall there is a link at the top on the left to receive 150 free NC. For a quicker way to your album management click here.
The Lucky Space Faerie Charm is obtained by being a premium member of Neopets and then you have to refer 2 people to the premium service. You can become a premium member by clicking here. It is much kinder to let someone refer you to premium so that they have a chance to get the trophy. If you make a board on any of the chat boards you will quickly find someone who will refer you. Buying a trophy with Neopoints.

The Alien Aisha vending machine trophy can be bought with Neopoints, however please keep in mind it takes a bit of luck too so you may not get it first time, or second, or even the tenth time, but if you throw enough NP into it you will get a trophy eventually. To use the vending machine you need to buy Nerkmids as that is the currency it takes. There are currently 16 different types of Nerkmid, you can see them in Jellyneo's item database here. They are currently all unbuyable (that means they sell for more than 100,000Np.) and so your best bet to find them is on the Trading post. At the time of writing this the cheapest is a Basic Golden Nerkmid. Be warned this is not a cheap trophy to get and your best chance of getting it will be early on in the month as that is when trophy high score tables are reset. Personally I wouldn't try for it after the 5th of any month. You can find the vending machine here.

With Tyranu evavu you have to click the button most likely to succeed and then just hope it works. There is still a lot of luck involved on getting a high enough streak to get a trophy score. A guide by jellyneo for Tyranu Evavu can be found here.
At the beginning of cheeseroller you are asked to pick a cheese, this is the only skill part of the game. If you look at a guide such as this one by jellyneo, you can see all of the different types of cheese you can buy. There are many contradicting ideas out there about which cheeses offer you a higher chance of winning or if they all have the same chance. From personal experience i can say that the higher priced cheeses seem to have a higher probability of winning than the cheaper cheeses. Once you have chosen your cheese you then need to roll it to the bottom of the hill, again there are rumours about what the best way of doing that is however it appears to be totally random so here is where your luck comes in. To get the trophy you need to be in the top 17 spaces on the high score table when trophies are given out and to keep the cheese you need to finish the Game in less than 60 seconds.
Double or nothing is simple to play, you repeatedly click the coin and continue until you get a high enough score for a trophy and then you end the game. It is random whether you get heads (win) or Tails (lose) but stopping at the right time and not trying to get one higher and loosing everything is where the skill comes in. Look at the high score table before you play and decide on what score you need for the trophy you will be happy with then stick to that. Its best to start and bronze and then slowly work up.
Kiss the Mortog is a lot like Double or nothing but instead of only being able to click one button you have to randomly pick between a continuously increasing number of Mortogs. It is almost all luck, however some people claim to have a pattern that works almost every time so there may be a little skill involved after all. Personally i don't believe a pattern that doesn't work every time is reliable at all and so i go with random luck.
Dice-a-roo is very much like the last two in that you click a button and just hope for the best. There is no real skill used in this one, you just keep clicking Roll again. There are a few cheats out there encouraging you to use heavy objects to hold down buttons on your keyboard while you go and do something else. Doing this will risk your account as the neopets staff have stated numerous times that this is against the rules of the site.
Both Splat-A-Sloth and Dar-Blat!!! are pretty much the same game. You wait until you see the sock-sloth or the Darblat and hit spacebar as quickly as you can. They require you to build up your skill and reflexes but you also need a big heap of luck too. You obtain the trophy by being in the top 17 places on the high score board when the trophies are given out.
To play the neopian lottery you go here and buy a ticket. The skill is to pick the winning numbers and the luck is to pick the winning numbers! The trophies are given out according to this - 1st Place (gold) - Win 1,000,000+ Neopoints, 2nd Place (silver) - Win 500,000 - 999,999 Neopoints, 3rd Place (bronze) - Win 1 - 499,999 Neopoints. As far as we know you have the same chance of getting the trophy no matter what choices you select. However to get the Blumaroo Court Jester avatar from King Skarl you need to use a specific phrase and so it is perfectly plausible that certain phrases have a higher chance of giving you a trophy score than others. Basically we don't know if its totally down to luck or not, so just remember to try every day and you may get it eventually.
Purely luck based trophies.

For both the fruit machine and Test your strength trophies you need to press one button then cross your fingers and hope for the best. Only luck will get you those trophies nothing else counts towards getting it. The three tax trophies are gained by having a large amount of np out on hand and then being lucky enough to get the random event. Be warned that to get the trophies they need to tax you a large amount of np so the more you have out then the better your chances.
Lucky Streak trophies.

To obtain these trophies you need to win a certain amount of games in a row. With Bilge Dice Streak you need to get enough games won in a row that you get into the top 17 of the high score table. Both the pyramid bonus and Sakhmet solitaire bonus gold trophies can be gained by winning two games in a row.
Using game guides for trophies.

All of these games involve some skill and some practice but they are all easily obtainable if you use a good guide. The trophies are given out differently to others despite the fact that they have a high score table, which gives you a better chance of getting a gold trophy. Basically if you get the maximum score for the game and are in the top 100 when trophies are given out you should get gold. This sometimes glitches and you will get a lower trophy but that is quite rare. Guides for these games are coming soon!
Playing tournaments for trophies.

Each of these games involve joining a monthly tournament. If you sign up now then you will be entered in next months games. You can sign up for just one, two or all three and the tournament will last all month long or until you lose a game. You can sign up and read the rules here. You get bronze for getting to week 3, silver for getting to week 4 and gold for winning every week! You also win a small amount of nps for each game you win.
Playing Neoquest for trophies.

First up a warning. These games take a LOT of time and can be highly addictive! You will need a very good guide and plenty of time to get these trophies, but they take very little skill and so anyone can do them. Instead of having to get on a high score table the trophies are given out when you complete a game in a certain mode. For both you get Bronze when you complete normal mode, Silver when you complete evil mode and Gold when you complete insane mode. You also get a prize on completion of each game. With Neoquest 1 you get np every time you achieve a new level or beat a boss or mini-boss. With Neoquest 2 you get neopoints when you beat a boss or finish the game.
You can also get a trophy for completing Neoquest 2 in one of the fastest times. Bronze is given out for normal mode, Silver is given out for evil mode and Gold is given out for insane mode. Why have I not listed this one? Simple its NOT easy! But if you enjoy them and get good enough at them its something you can look into getting.
Battledoming for trophies.

Ok firstly yes there is one other battledome achieved trophy, but for that one you need a VERY strong battledome pet and an impressive multi-million np battleset. Definitely not easy! But the Punchbag bob trophy can be achieved by anyone who has enough time on their hands. Punchbag bob will start with 5000hp, to obtain the trophy you need to get him down to 0hp. He can use very little against you and is unable to take any of your hp, he does have some form of defense but it is small. Basically this is just a test of commitment and tenacity as it takes a long time but you will get there. If you are new to the battledome i suggest you use your pet which has the highest strength stat and equip them with 2 scarab rings.
Plot trophies.

This is currently the only open plot where you can still get the trophy. There is a great guide on Jellyneo which makes getting the trophy really easy, however its not a quick trophy and you will have to spend a little time on it. Plot trophies are some of the easiest to get as you only usually have to complete 1 step to get one, however they take a lot of work and commitment to get the best one.

Firstly no i am not saying that these trophies are easy to get, however once you have learnt the concept of the game it only takes practice, time and luck to achieve the trophies, you do not need oodles of gaming skill. The best way to work on these trophies is to pick one at a time, learn the rules and make sure you understand how the game play works, and then put aside a certain amount of your neo time every day to work on it, once you have a trophy you are happy with move on to the next one. I wont go into loads if detail for each game here as if you do a search for them, the game itself will explain the rules to you and that's really all you need.
Questing for trophies.

The Brain Tree Quest trophy is obtained by being in the top 17 on the high score table when trophies are given out. To get a score you need to do a chain of quests beginning with the brain tree itself. Once he has asked you the when and where a certain neopet died you need to complete two quests for the Esophagor to get the answers. Be sure to write down the answers exactly as he tells them to you, then go back to the Brain tree and enter them in. If you did this fast enough (he usually gives you a time limit between 1.5 and 3hrs) then you will be rewarded with an item, some nps and if its your first time, himself as a battledome challenger. The important part is the neopoints you get from him as that is what score is entered into the high score table. It is always best to try for this quest within the first 2 or 3 days of the month but you can get lucky enough to earn it at any time.
Both Illusens glade and Judoras cloud trophies are obtained in the same way, being in the top 17 of the high score table when trophies are given out. However you can only try for one at a time because you are limited to 1 quest every 12 hrs for either of them. These quests take time and np but the trophies and higher prizes are highly sought after by many neopians. Basically you need to complete a quest for your chosen character every twelve hours and as quickly as you possibly can. If you are not one of the lucky few whose computers and connection are fast enough to get them the trophy on the first day you will probably have to keep it up for most of the month until you achieve the trophy. Keep in mind the high score is reset at the start of every month so you need to be there ready to go as soon as it does, you also need to have reset yourself back to 0 quests completed BEFORE the time has come to start questing.
Collection trophies.

Both of these trophies are gained by being in the top 17 places of the high score table when trophies are given out. Your score is the amount of stamps or avatars you have collected. It takes a lot of work and (especially with the stamps) a lot of Np, but they are certainly attainable and very very sought after. To have your stamps count towards your score you need to put them into your stamp album, but be warned you will not be able to remove them once they are in there. As the high score table for avatar collection is reset each month you need to gain a new avatar that month to be on it. Most people achieve this by loosing and then gaining the emo usuki avatar. Obviously there are too many avatars for me to list how to get them in this guide but Jellyneo have all the information you will need here.
Collection trophies for your pets.

These trophies appear on your pets lookup NOT on your lookup.
The Booktastic Book Award is obtained by being in the top 17 places of the high score table and the honorary award is obtained by being in the top 200, when trophies are given out. To get a score you need to read your pet booktastic books, and the amount they have read is their score. You can see what booktastic books your pet has read by going to your quick reference page, click on your pets intelligence and then clicking the word 'here' on the second paragraph of the page. Alternatively premium members can click on their pets intelligence in the portal, and then follow the link. The high score table is here. You can buy booktastic books from users shops, the trading post and auctions, and also from this kreluden shop. How can you tell if a book is booktastic? When it is your inventory, click it, and then on the pop up screen it will say 'Type Booktastic Book' in the details section. Once your pet has read the book it will vanish in a puff of colourful smoke, which means you cant read it to any more pets or sell it.
The (normal) Book Award is obtained by being in the top 17 places of the high score table and the honorary award is obtained by being in the top 200, when trophies are given out. To get a score you need to read your pet books, not booktastic books as they wont count towards this score, and the amount they have read is there score. The gourmet award is obtained by being in the top 17 places of the high score table and the honorary award is obtained by being in the top 200, when trophies are given out. To get a score you need to feed your pet gourmet foods, and the amount they have eaten is there score. You can see what gourmet foods your pet has eaten by going here. and clicking the link at the end of 'To see what gourmet foods your active pet has eaten, click here.' alternatively change this url to your pets name in the address bar. The high score table is here. You can buy gourmet food from users shops, the trading post and auctions, and also from numerous shops such as this one. How can you tell if food is gourmet or not? When it is in your inventory, click it, and then on the pop up screen it will say Rarity Index and then a number between 90 and 99 inclusive. If it has any other number then it is not a gourmet food. Once your pet has eaten it you can never un-eat it (gross!) so you cannot feed it to another pet or sell it.
The easiest trophy of all.

Yes this is the absolute easiest trophy of all to obtain. Why? Simply because you already have it! Every account is given this trophy as soon as you sign up! Not sure what it does? Well to be honest that describes most neopians but there are a few things we do know about it. You start without any beads on your talisman but you can buy some and earn others through the neopets mobile service. If you want to get a mobile which is compatible with the mobile service then check, check again and check some more that it will work before you buy it, some people have been left very disappointed when they find services were cancelled on the type they bought. Is it worth buying the beads? My own opinion is no, maybe if you are an avid restocker or flash gamer as some help you with this, but even then they will take a long time to pay themselves back. There is a possibility that certain beads may improve your chance of random events but this is pure speculation.
Using real life skills for trophies.

To obtain these trophies you need to create a level for that game and then get that level accepted as the weeks spotlight. You will know if you win the spotlight or not as it will be advertised on the neopets news page. This requires quite a lot of skill in level building and game strategy but all of the coding is done for you by neopets itself. To build a level simply go to the games page and there will be a link there to the spotlight feature.
Weekly Competitions.

These are all gained through weekly competitions run by neopets. You need to enter and be one of the winners to get a trophy.
With mystery pic there will be an extreme close up of a picture from neopets, it can be absolutely anything from a red scorchio tale to a screensaver or even a banner. The trophies have never been officially explained but most people believe they are given out in the same way as the better than you trophies.
The better than you competition is exactly what it says, neopets will pick a person and a score (they make it up as it is a site character not a user) and you have to beat their score. The trophies are handed out as Gold for the first 10 people to beat the score, Silver for the 11th to 50th person and bronze for the 51st to 500th person. The game they choose is pretty much random and so if you hold on long enough they are bound to use one you are good at at some point :)
The Lenny conundrum is a different puzzle each week and you win a trophy by guessing the answer correctly. They have had everything from anagrams to maths questions to next in sequence puzzles before now so if you check it each week you should find one that you can do before long. Only the first 250 people with the correct answer get a trophy so you need to be quick, it is often over by the end of the day it is posted. The trophies have never been officially explained but what we do know is the faster you are the better your trophy will be.
The caption competition trophy is gained by first getting your caption approved by neopets staff and then getting a lot of votes by neopets users. They like it if your captions are original and funny, you should not use insults or profanities or anything overly used or boring. They have a help page here, this gives you some help but you will gain more from looking through the winners of past competitions and seeing the type of humour that usually makes it through. Again with no official explanation on how to get the different types of trophy we can only guess, but what is certain is that the more votes you get the better you do and the better your trophy will be. Don't think your funny enough to get in? Why not give it a go anyway, it doesn't hurt and you may surprise yourself!
Area Spotlights.

These trophies appear in the Game Trophies section on your lookup.
These almost always take graphics skills as well as coding and content writing skills. The exception here is the neohome spotlight which takes decoration and aesthetic skills as well as some writing skills.
To win the neohome spotlight you first need to build and decorate a neohome. You then enter this into the weekly competition here and cross your fingers hoping to be chosen! Your home needs to meet a high standard, you cant just throw a few things into a room and expect to get a trophy. Lots of homes have multiple gardens and can be up to 3 floors high, so it will take quite a bit of work and trial and error to get it right. As well as getting your neohome altogether you also need to come up with a great description to peak their interests, that's where the writing skills come in. If you are unsure if what you have written is good enough there are usually people on the boards willing to rate what you have done.
For the gallery spotlight trophy you need to win the gallery spotlight competition. Winners are announced weekly in the news and the standard is usually pretty high. Its sometimes hard to find because of peoples graphics but you can enter the gallery spotlight here. They prefer unique and quirky ideas with at least some of your own graphics and coding to make it look good. You also have a better chance if your gallery is at least near to being complete, if you only have 5 of the possible 300 items then you are very likely to get passed over. Galleries take time to build so don't get downhearted if you aren't there yet, just keep at it.
The lookup spotlight trophy is much like the gallery spotlight but for your neopets lookup instead. You can edit your lookup here in the about me box. Just like all of the other spotlights, there is a high standard to meet and you should make sure all of the graphics and coding is your own, they will not allow a premade one to win and stolen coding or images may end in you having your account frozen. There are a long list of rules hints and tips here.
The site spotlight trophy arguably takes more work than the others in terms of content writing, coding and graphics. You stand a much better chance of winning it if you have a unique idea filled with good standard art, unbroken coding and quirky or funny but useful content. You can enter it here but the actual site will be on one of your pets pages. Please do not try to enter anything offsite as it has to be on neopet.com to be entered, also keep it family orientated and within neopets terms and conditions or you may just end up frozen.
Writing.

The poetry competition trophy is obtained by having one of your poems on show here. They have to be neopets based so that lovely poem you wrote about Africa in third grade wont get you anywhere ;) Of course some real items are allowed if they are also neo items such as chocolates, oranges, a wooden bench and so on. They also tend to choose ones based around the current event eg. grey day, shoyru day and big events such as plots, so that may give you an idea when writers block strikes.
To obtain the Story telling trophy you need to have your submission accepted and put on the site. How it works is a neostaff member writes the beginning of a story every monday, then you need to send in a few paragraphs to follow that. They select the best submission twice a day (only once on a monday) until the story is finished on the friday. There is a very good FAQ offering lots of information and help here, i know at first glance it doesn't look like a FAQ but it is!
To obtain the Neopian Times trophy you need to have your work published in any of the section of the Neopian Times except the editorial. No unfortunately no matter how well written or helpful your question is in the editorial you will not get a trophy for it. The areas to enter are articles, short stories, comics, and series. Each subsequent time you get something published in the neopian time you get an additional number next to your trophy not a new trophy. There is more information on each area and how to submit you work here.
The Neopian adventure generator is a place where you can make a story that contains choices for the reader to make. Do you remember those choose your own adventure books? Well it is an online version of that! Go here to start putting yours together, and then when you are ready to enter it into the competition go here. Your adventure needs to be locked before you can submit it, and keep in mind that once you have an adventure saved it will be available for all to see on your lookup ;) Including its rating.
Artistry.

To obtain this trophy you need to have your neopets related fan picture accepted and then published in the Art Gallery. In the words of Neopets themselves "The picture must be your own creation. Copyrighted images or pictures just taken off the Neopets site will not be accepted. If you send in someone else's picture and claim it is your own, your account WILL be frozen!" I've seen a lot of people frozen for forgetting that last rule or thinking no-one would notice, well they do and will so just don't do it. They do choose random pictures but they mostly pick ones that go with the current event or theme eg, grey day, shoyru day and big events such as plots. The standard is set quite high but they know not everyone is a picasso, so don't worry if your not sure its good enough, you still may get in. Go here when your ready to enter!

To obtain this trophy you need to be one of the winners of the random contest! There really isn't a lot I can tell you about this contest as its theme, rules and therefore what you need to do changes with every new one. They sometimes last one week and sometimes as long as three weeks, they have had in the past sock puppets, pasta pictures, jewellery, band posters, murals, welcoming mats, edible neopets, postcards and well the list goes on. Anything could come up so at some point, so there should be something you are good at sometime, and even if you are new to this weeks theme you can still have great fun giving it a go!
Real life skill trophies for your pets.

These trophies appear on your pets lookup NOT on your lookup.
To gain the beauty contest trophy you need to draw a picture of your pet and enter it into the weekly event. You then need to advertise and spread awareness of your picture to people on the boards as it is them who can either make you win or loose. The winners are decided purely on other users votes, if you have enough votes to get you in the top 3 of your species you will win, if you don't you will loose. You can get up to two trophies for just one picture as the trophy is not only given out if you win your species but also if you win overall. Its quite a complicated competition but neopets own page has a lot of useful information and you can find it here. If you come 1st in species or overall you will get a gold trophy, if you come 2nd in species or overall you will get a silver trophy, if you come third in species or overall you will get a bronze trophy. You can obtain the Pet spotlight trophy by entering your pet and then winning the weekly pet spotlight competition. This competition mostly takes creative writing skills but it is possible that you will have a better chance of winning if you also enter a self-drawn picture. You can enter here. You need to write a short story that tells us all about your pet, its personality and why it deserves to win the pet spotlight. If you are unsure on how to do this then you should look through some of the previous entries. Keep in mind that copying or stealing another persons entry is against the rules, so gain inspiration from previous winners but you still need to come up with your own work.
To gain the petpet spotlight trophy you need to enter and win the petpet spotlight competition which you can enter here. Petpet spotlight is exactly the same as the pet spotlight competition but this time it is for your petpet. You need to write a short story that tells us all about your petpet, its personality, its interaction with pet and (if you have one) petpetpet, and why it deserves to win the petpet spotlight. If you are unsure on how to do this then you should look through some of the previous entries. Keep in mind that copying or stealing another persons entry is against the rules, so gain inspiration from previous winners but you still need to come up with your own work.
To obtain the customisation spotlight trophy you need to be one of the six weekly winners. This competition is all about how well you dress your pet and to a certain extent how good the paint job is, eg a christmas kougra with a space background may not be as popular as a robot kougra. There are two categories that you can enter, NeoCash and NeoPoints. Only one option will be available for each of your pets and you determine which one with what you dress them with. All paintbrush clothing and accessories, background, trinkets etc bought with neopoints will enter you into the NeoPoints category, but if you have any NeoCash items on them at all then they are entered into the NeoCash category. This was done to ensure that people who had no access to NeoCash have the same chance of winning as people who do. You enter your pet by first getting them looking as great as you can and then going here and pressing the Enter PETNAME button for the pet you want to enter. You can enter as many of your pets as you want, and it has been confirmed in an editorial that you can enter side account pets too. If you do not win you will need to re-enter each pet every week, it is best to enter them early on in the month as the winners are chosen by the amount of votes they get and what number they get voted as. If you go here you will be shown a picture of a random entrant in this weeks competition and you can vote for them on a scale of one to ten, one being the worst and ten the best. There will be three NeoPoint winners and three NeoCash winners chosen each week, the trophies are given out as Gold for 1st place in either category, Silver for second and Bronze for third. Don't get too disheartened if you don't win right away, there are a lot of pets entered each week, keep entering and hopefully you will get a trophy.
